Organized by World Cruising Club, the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) is the largest trans-ocean sailing event in the world and regularly attracts upwards of 200 boats of many shapes and sizes. The journey takes between two to three weeks aided by trade winds and covers more than 2,700 nautical miles.

Upon arrival in Saint Lucia, the ARC participants are greeted with a warm Saint Lucian welcome which showcases our unique, creole culture, traditional culinary delights and a wide range of exciting events and activities specifically targeted at ARC participants. The programme of activities is spread over two weeks and includes local entertainment inclusive of drumming, fire easting, limbo, a j’ouvert jump up and performances by a number of local musical bands. In addition to the fabulous cultural entertainment on display, there are a number of other activities such as: a costume party, various chef demonstrations and football matches, ARC participants vs. local participants– largely held in the ARC Village which offers a wide variety of food, drink and souvenirs. The ARC activities are designed for both ARC participants and locals alike to come together and share cultural experiences and to ensure that the ARC participants always remember their stay on Saint Lucia.

Saint Lucia also offers a host or unique soft adventure tours for the ARC participants to explore the island and discover the beauty and wonder of this magical island.

Stay tuned for this year’s edition schedule for the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, which will be released in September 2016.

ARC Flotilla

The ARC is a household name in the sunny island of Saint Lucia, and as Saint Lucian’s await the arrival annually, we celebrate it with the symbolic ARC Flotilla.  Saint Lucians team up with boat owners to participate in the flotilla which departs the Castries Waterfront destined for the home of the ARC, the IGY Rodney Bay Marina.  The event culminates with entertainment for families.  This annual event happens on Sunday, November 20th, 2016.

ARC+ is just another alternative route to participate in the World Cruising Club’s ARC which departs Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to simply beautiful Saint Lucia.  The event starts two weeks ahead of the traditional ARC in November annually with sailors stopping over in the Cape Verde Islands.  The ARC+ fleet will re-group in the Cape Verdes before setting off with the trade winds across the Atlantic to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia for a tremendous Saint Lucian welcome, complete with the island delicious rum punch and a full programme of social activities and tours for which the ARC is renown.  The ARC+ 2016 departs Las Palmas de Gra Canaria on Sunday, November 6th.

World ARC

Starting from Saint Lucia and Australia, World ARC is the voyage of a lifetime. A 26000 NM tradewind circumnavigation with our team in every port ensuring a warm welcome.
World ARC is a mix of cruising in company and free time to explore. Make a full circumnavigation or sail half a rally. The pace keeps the fleet together, enjoying the shore-side activities as a group, while staying with the best weather. Families with children, retirees or a ‘grown up gap year’ – all are welcome as part of World ARC. Our dedicated rally team ensure you make the most of your time ashore, and provide peace of mind at sea.
